Names of Teen Stars

It seems like we've seen more young stars rise lately than ever before. The Disney Channel in particular has really cornered the market of pre-teens by finding teenagers with good looks who can often sing and dance in addition to act. These young stars have a strong following in tweens, but they also have the power to influence culture on a much grander scale. A little magic must be in place for a teen star to create a naming trend. The name must be somewhat unique, already fit with trends, and sound good to parents' ears, otherwise it won't go anywhere.

Some great examples of this are the names Miley and Jonas. Miley can be solely attributed to the star Miley Cyrus (born Destiny Cyrus), which happened to come along at a time when names Kylie, Hayley, and Riley were already climbing the charts. The Jonas brothers contributed to the rise of the name Jonas, which was gaining some popularity before they hit the scene. This means that even though the Jonas brothers don't usually find fans in people of parenting age, their names, faces, and music find us everywhere. They permeate media and entertainment until even adults find themselves influenced by these young stars.

Most of the names below are already popular, like Emma and Dylan, so the addition of a teen star with the name only further cements the name's popularity.
